An ActivTrades Webinar – US Election Fever: Which way will it go?

People have been focusing on the US election fever - Donald Trump’s surprise win of the Republican nomination, the acrimonious campaign battle between him and Hillary Clinton, the inevitable change in political direction that comes with each new president – for months now. These events  will come to a head on 8th November when the actual elections will take place.

Now is the time to learn more about their effect on the US market and the competitive online broker ActivTrades is providing you with the excellent opportunity to do that by organizing a webinar led by professional trader Paul Wallace, who will focus on this topic.

The webinar is called “US Election Fever: Which way will it go?” and it will be held today, 3rd November, between 7pm and 8pm.

CAD/JPY Is Falling

After almost two weeks of sideways consolidation CAD/JPY finally formed a doji candlestick below the resistance at 78.35, which coincides with the (MA)89 indicator on the four-hour time-frame, and started moving to the downside. What is more, the pair broke below the support at 77.50 and continued dropping. Its next target is likely the support at 76.00 – 75.90. A breakout below that level will probably lead to a further move to the downside towards the previous low at 75.39. For now it is too early to tell whether the pair will break below that level as well and we should keep in mind that the continuation of the bearish trend will not be confirmed before it does.

Gold Continues Climbing

In the past few days Gold continued moving to the upside and did not bounce off the resistance at $1,278 - $1,280 despite the fact that it formed a hanging man candlestick on the daily time-frame below that level. The precious metal broke above that resistance and continued climbing and it is very likely for it to eventually reach the next resistance level at $1,295, which coincides with the (MA)89 indicator on the same time-frame. A breakout above that level and above $1,300 will, in turn, likely lead to a further move to the upside towards the next resistance at $1,315. Either way, Gold remains very bullish for now.
